Like - Dive In… it is coloring supercharged!
Splash! Came about when friends and their 3 kids - were here visiting “the Sunny Caribbean” for a holiday and we had 4 solid days of rain. The kids were running low on peacefully ways of entertain themselves, so I created a few simple cartoon outlines with a fabric marker on a pack of white Hanes T-shirts - for them to fill in with bright neon colors.
They loved creating their own shirts, venturing outside the lines, really expressing themselves, and especially wearing their artwork and saying, “I did it myself”.
The rain quit and still they worked on their shirts - on the boat and at the beach. Then, went on to create one for dad, mom and grandma. I realized too - it wasn’t just for kids, when the parents picked up the markers and started doodling on their shirts, it brought out funny quirks in personalities that I had not seen in years.
A pack of markers will do more than one shirt - so that caused a search through the house for “what to color next.”
The Splash! shirts were a hit at the Miami Trade show - and one client ask if we could include a name drop… so here we are …with more than just shirts …because we do have those occasional rainy days in paradise.
The Fabric Markers are sold in a 6 packs of florescent colors - in a re-sealable plastic case. They are easy to use and permanent. We haven’t set a minimum age - because some kids at 4 - can color better than some adults (who put too much thought into it and have forgotten how to play), when that happens we suggest they find a kid to color their shirt for them - for a truly unique piece of wearable art. We do however suggest a little supervision, just enough that they don’t color the cat. Otherwise these markers are safe and non-toxic, even for adults. And because we sell nautical charts and other things for kids and adults to color, we also carry the 12 pack of artist quality Prismacolor colored pencils, in a collector tin. They work very well on the non-gloss greeting cards, creating beautiful original art to give as gifts or to frame.
